Howard Wong is a Joe Shuster Award: Outstanding Canadian Comic Book Writer nominated author, and creative development strategist working in animation, comic books, high-end collectible toys, video games, intellectual property, and creative content development for industry leaders including Bandai Namco Asia Company Limited, Bungie Inc., Hong Kong Disneyland, Marvel Comics, National Geographic Asia, 6Waves, Toni & Guy, Threezero (Hong Kong) Ltd., and WowWee Group Ltd.


He has authored titles and contributed to collected works including: After the Cape Vol I and II (Image Comics), Iron Man: Hong Kong Heroes #1 (Marvel Comics), New Frontiers: The Many Worlds of George Takei (The New Press), Toronto Comics Vol. 3, (Toronto Comics Anthology), FullMetal Ghost #1 (Bandai and Threezero) based on story development he did for Kunio Okawara’s (Gundam) first personal high-end collectable property, and Damned, Cursed Children (Source Point Press). Anthologies he has written stories for have been nominated for the Joe Shuster Award: Gene Day Award, Comic Book Buyer's Guide Fan Award for Favourite Graphic Novel, and the Ghastly Award for Favourite Horror Anthology. 


He has presented in person and virtually, talks, workshops and webinars at art events, author festivals, comic book conventions, non-profit organizations, public libraries, and corporate events. He has covered topics including story development, character development, world building, comic book creating and scripting, to local and international audiences of children to adults. 


He is from and based in Toronto, Canada where he lives with his wife, kids, and two dogs.
